The Vatnsdal Vikings and friends will be providing combat demonstrations with steel weapons from the time period as well as reviewing battle tactics from historical sources and living history.

We will have many activities and games from spear and axe throwing.

You can also join us at the battlefield for a keg toss sponsored by a local brewery, tug a rope against the viking crew, and a kids vs vikings sword fight/water balloon fight.

In the Vatnsdal Vikings encampment we will have a museum with replica pieces, actual finds of viking age items, and a recreation of a viking grave.

Feel like you could eat a feast fit for a rowing crew? We’ll have food and drink vendors onsite to help stave off your hunger and fight the heat!

This year we will be launching our Ultimate Viking Challenge. Register to compete to be labeled the ultimate viking! Complete in our games and keep track of your scores on our checklist cards and compete to win prizes and be named Drengr of RVVF.
